Dave Gray is a SaaS operator passionate about building healthy organizations, exceptional teams, and high-impact products. For 15+ years, he was CEO of Birmingham’s most successful SaaS company, Daxko, leading the company’s growth from an early-stage startup to the market leader with 10,000 customers and 360 team members.

Not only did Daxko achieve 15 years of double-digit growth, execute 8 acquisitions, close 3 private equity rounds, and win Best Companies to Work for in America 3 times under his leadership, but they also count some of Birmingham’s most successful entrepreneurs among its alumni (e.g. Airship, Boulo, Compose, Fleetio, GradesFirst, and others).

Dave is currently spending most of his time focused on his partnership with his friends at Pamlico Capital as together they seek the acquisition of a mission-critical, B2B SaaS company. The partnership is called Stoneybrook Ventures.

Beyond his day job, Dave has also served on the boards or been an active supporter of several high-impact organizations, including two years as chairman of the Community Foundation of Greater Birmingham.

He is a relatively frequent speaker for groups such as Techstars, Silicon Y’all, SHRM, area universities, and the leadership teams of private companies and nonprofits. Additionally, he is currently facilitating 3 “leadership reading groups” with some of Birmingham’s most dynamic continuous learners.
